Concept
We bring community members and visitors together with local family-owned growers and winemakers to explore new wines and learn about the nuances of growing and producing excellent local wines.
In our 2025 series we will feature stand-out local vineyards, winemakers and wines that make the Green Valley of the Russian River Valley sub-appellation so special and unique.
Our tasting events feature food pairing menus, created in collaboration with the winemakers and prepared by our in-house chef, to enhance the presentation of 3-4 wines of the winemaker’s choice.
Community benefit
A portion of the proceeds will go to a designated local non-profit community organization. We have selected the Occidental Volunteer Fire Department (OVFD) with its 100+ year history of serving the local community as our beneficiary for the first year.
Team
Katie Braude is a retired education non-profit leader, with expertise in fundraising, event planning and catering.
Lesley Pickford comes from a family entrenched in the food and winemaking industries, and has organized local and national championship equestrian events, involving food, fun, vendors and volunteers, and horses of course!

Opportunities for Winemakers
Each event showcases a single winery so that the full focus is on your wines. We do not charge a fee to wineries to participate. The setup allows the featured winery to:
Showcase your wine in a personal setting, local to the featured vineyard.
Display and sell your wines/merchandise in our flexible exhibit space.
Introduce your wines to new buyers.
Sign up new club members.
Roles for Winemakers
The tasting events are designed to feature a single winery and wines, paired with small plate courses. We ask that the wineries:
Contribute/discount featured (locally grown) wine(s) plus any others you wish to present.
Present a brief overview of the winery's history and winemaking process, emphasis on the featured wine or wines.
Conduct a wine tasting of your selected wines (we will coordinate food pairings).
Recognize the designated beneficiary.
